A leading healthcare provider in Airdrie is seeking Registered Nurses to join their dynamic team at University Hospital Monklands. This role involves assessing patient care needs, leading a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring high-quality care delivery. Candidates should have a valid NMC registration and strong interpersonal skills. This position offers various hours on a part-time or full-time basis, supporting professional development in a supportive environment.
The Department of Medicine for Older Adults at University Hospital Monklands is a dynamic team with a significant track record in driving forward service change and quality improvement. The Department has four dedicated in-patient wards.
Ward 22, which is a General and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Ward for Older Adults, is looking for a Registered Nurse(s) to join its existing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team that is dedicated to providing the highest levels of quality patient care, and where there are excellent opportunities for service development within the department with a management structure keen to support this and development opportunities.
Working as a core member of the wider multi-disciplinary team, the successful candidate will have responsibility for the assessment of care needs and the evaluation and development of care plans required to ensure the continued delivery of high quality care to patients.
The role is a varied one and duties will reflect the degree of patient dependency. However, the post holder will be expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision, and will be required to demonstrate procedures to, and supervise, both registered and unregistered staff, as well as student nurses. The successful candidate will direct, coordinate and supervise, where appropriate, the work of other staff within the ward to promote best practice in relation to patient care.
In the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse/Team Leader, the post holder will have the opportunity to provide cover to ensure the effective running of the ward.
We would encourage you to get in touch to find out more about this opportunity.
