Job summary

Promises/Washburn House in Worcester, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional clinical care within a detoxification and residential program, following established procedures and nursing standards.

The RN will oversee medical orders, coordinate care with the health team, monitor medications, support admissions and discharges, and ensure HIPAA compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 3–5 years in behavioral health or residential detox settings preferred.
• Completion of accredited RN program required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fulfillment of patient medical orders and address medical concerns.
• Triage medical issues and administer medications as directed by physician.
• Monitor client self-administration of medication and document observations.
• Serve as first responder in medical emergencies and support psychiatric emergencies.
• Perform laboratory procedures as authorized and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate admission/discharge processes including pre-screening and assessments.
• Communicate with patients, physicians, nurses and pharmacy staff.
