Job summary

Richmond Villages Witney Care Home is recruiting a Registered Nurse to join the care team at the Witney site. You will lead clinical duties, oversee nursing care and ensure high standards across the unit in line with CQC requirements.

You will be responsible for delivering person-centred care, mentoring staff, and maintaining policies to support residents’ independence and well-being; induction and ongoing development are provided.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin and a commitment to the NMC Code of Conduct.
  • Positive attitude and energy to foster a supportive working environment.
  • Caring, hands-on approach that upholds residents’ independence, choice and dignity.
  • Effective communicator with residents and families.
  • Passion for coaching and training colleagues and care professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for residents' physical, emotional and social well-being.
  • Coach and guide the team with formal and informal training programmes.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans for residents.
  • Monitor areas to ensure safety and compliance with standards and legislation.

Richmond Villages Witney Care Home, Coral Springs Way, Witney, Oxfordshire OX28 5DG

£22.50 per hour plus 10% night enhancement

Shift Pattern: 8am - 8pm, 8pm - 8am

You’re accountable for making sure policies and standards meet our high clinical standard and offering clinical guidance to the whole care team, being crucial in helping with all CQC tasks. You’ll help us make health happen by:
  • Taking responsibility for the well‑being of our residents and making sure their physical, emotional and social needs are met
  • Coaching and guiding the team, providing formal and informal teaching programmes for colleagues and other care professionals
  • Carrying out assessments and developing, implementing and evaluating individualised care plans for each of our residents
  • Monitoring work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to the relevant standards, policies and legislation
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
  • A Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin and a genuine commitment to adhering to the NMC Codes of Conduct and expanding your professional development
  • With a positive attitude, your energy and enthusiasm will encourage a supportive working environment
  • Naturally caring with a hands‑on approach, you have a flair for helping people maintain their independence, choice and dignity
  • An effective communicator who’s able to build strong and honest relationships with residents and the people they care about
  • A passion to coach, guide and support your team, as well as providing formal and informal programmes of training to colleagues and other care professionals
