About the Role

What you'll do:

• Ensure all residents have full nursing assessments, an individual care plan and risk assessment, considering residents’ preferences and always preserving their dignity.
• Help and ensure the promotion of mental and physical activity of residents through holistic care.
• Be responsible for the safe custody of drugs, their administration and disposal in accordance with the NMC’s statement on the administration of medicines, assisting in the audit thereof.
• Exercise leadership by example, keeping professionally updated and aware of developments in nursing practice, theory and research and to pass on this knowledge to other staff when appropriate.
• You will be responsible for the provision of nursing care for all residents and for maintaining a homely, supportive and stimulating environment to improve or sustain the resident’s quality of life.
