Elizabeth Finn Homes Limited is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant for Rush Court Care Home near Wallingford to deliver high-quality personal care while respecting residents' dignity.

You will work with clinical and senior teams to create a safe, engaging environment, with weekend shifts and a commitment to ongoing learning. The role offers hourly rate £13.92–£15.06 and potential for both full-time and part-time arrangements.

Qualifications

• Secondary school education with good numeracy and literacy.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Level 2 in Care (or willingness to work towards it).
• Experience caring for older people.
• Basic knowledge of Care Workers’ Codes of Practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care in line with care plans and procedures, documenting accurately.
• Report any changes, concerns, incidents, or complaints promptly to senior staff.
• Support residents with social activities, routines, and meaningful engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, secure environment and ensure equipment is used/stored safely.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all policies; take responsibility for ongoing learning and development.

Rush Court is an elegant, Queen Anne style house standing in its own grounds amidst the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside just outside Wallingford.Its 47 en suite rooms provide both residential and nursing care on a long-term or short stay basis, as well as offering end of life care.

About the role
