Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse – Bank (Days and Nights) at Eastbourne Gardens Care Home in Eastbourne. You will act as person in charge when needed, delivering high-quality nursing care and coordinating the team to ensure residents receive compassionate support.

Requirements include a First Level qualification and current NMC registration, plus at least two years of relevant experience. A DBS check and UK work eligibility are part of the process.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Act as person in charge, standing in for the Manager when required and ensure high standards of care.
• Undertake nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and chronic conditions management.
• Advise families and GPs of changes in condition and keep involved in ongoing care decisions.
• Supervise and deploy care team staff to ensure tasks are completed during duty periods.

About The Role

Your focus as a Registered Nurse will be to act as person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required and observe all instructions to act upon his/her behalf whilst you ensure high standards of care to our residents.

Other Responsibilities Will Include

• Undertaking nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
• Advising families of residents and GPs of any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
• Responsibility for the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
• Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
