We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Bank Registered Nurse to join our team at LivingCare Sheffield. The role involves supporting the clinical team in delivering outstanding patient care in the Outpatients and Imaging department.

Job responsibilities
  1. Adhere to the NMC code of conduct, maintaining professional responsibilities and acting as a role model.
  2. Ensure the clinical setting has an appropriate skill mix to support clinicians and patients.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and the wider MDT.
  4. Report, investigate incidents, near misses, and complaints; escalate and implement necessary changes.
  5. Share knowledge and involve staff in decision-making.
  6. Provide safe, effective, evidence-based care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  7. Maintain accurate patient records.
  8. Collaborate with the MDT to ensure excellent clinical care and outcomes.
  9. Work with the Health and Safety lead to maintain a safe environment, reporting risks appropriately.
  10. Monitor equipment and report issues.
  11. Maintain infection control standards and act as a role model.
  12. Monitor cleanliness and escalate concerns.
  13. Mentor and supervise staff and students as needed.
  14. Ensure proper waste management and staff adherence to disposal policies.
  15. Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and report concerns.
  16. Conduct audits, risk assessments, and report findings.
  17. Support an inclusive, open, and honest culture among staff.
  18. Keep up with mandatory training and support staff in their training.
  19. Follow safe moving and handling practices.
  20. Assist in medicines management, ensuring safe storage, ordering, and administration, working closely with pharmacists and managers.
Person Specification
Experience
  • NMC registered nurse or HCPC registered ODP
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Basic IT skills, experience with online programmes like SystmOne
  • Evidence of CPD
  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of endoscopy units
  • Preparation for mentorship course (ENB998) or equivalent
  • Own transportation for cross-site working
  • Self-management and team management skills
