Job responsibilities
- Adhere to the NMC code of conduct, maintaining professional responsibilities and acting as a role model.
- Ensure the clinical setting has an appropriate skill mix to support clinicians and patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and the wider MDT.
- Report, investigate incidents, near misses, and complaints; escalate and implement necessary changes.
- Share knowledge and involve staff in decision-making.
- Provide safe, effective, evidence-based care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Collaborate with the MDT to ensure excellent clinical care and outcomes.

Person Specification
Experience
- NMC registered nurse or HCPC registered ODP
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Basic IT skills, experience with online programmes like SystmOne
- Evidence of CPD
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of endoscopy units
- Preparation for mentorship course (ENB998) or equivalent
- Own transportation for cross-site working
- Self-management and team management skills
