Job summary

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust in the North West is seeking a Registered Nursing Associate to join Sheridan Ward, a female acute ward for adults. You will work with a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, psychiatrists and physiotherapists to deliver compassionate, patient-centred care.

The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check. You will work under supervision with registered nurses, assess, plan, organise and deliver clinical care, and contribute to organisation-wide

Job description

Are you a Registered Nurse Associate looking to join an innovative time and drive compassionate patient-centred care?

We are looking for an established or new Registered Nursing Associate to join our team on Sheridan Ward, we are a female acute ward for adults.

You will be supported within a multidisciplinary team consisting of occupational therapists, psychiatrists, physiotherapists, activity workers and assistant practitioners.

We provide a range of training and educational opportunities, clinical supervision and peer group support.

This post is subject to an enhanced check with adults barred list Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.

The role of the Nursing Associate is to work with the multi professional team and the Registered Nurse to assess, plan, organise and deliver clinical care in line with service and patient needs, as agreed with supervising clinicians.

The Nursing Associate has a breadth of knowledge across the lifespan and across the fields of nursing, providing holistic and person centred care and support for people of all ages and in a variety of settings. The Nursing Associate works independently under the leadership of registered nurses, working within the sphere of nursing care and within all aspects of the nursing process (Health Education England 2018).

Nursing Associates are accountable professionals who are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment as a Nursing Associate and will work to a nationally recognised Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) code of conduct. They must meet the NMC standards of proficiency and recognise and work within the limits of their competency.
