Job summary

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Nursing Associate to join our community teams to deliver high-quality patient care with dignity, kindness and compassion.

The post holder will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses and contribute to evidence-based practice and learning within the service, while maintaining patient safety and respect.

• Support community teams to deliver high-quality patient care with dignity and compassion.
• Provide and monitor nursing care for a designated group of patients during care episodes.
• Contribute to an effective learning environment and evidence-based practice.

Job description

• The post holder will support our community team's in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, upholding patient dignity delivered with kindness and compassion.
• The post holder will demonstrate responsibility to patients, relatives, and colleagues through contribution to the development and monitoring of agreed evidence-based practice and to the health and social care programmes.
• The post holder will provide and monitor the nursing care for a designated group of patients during a care episode.
• The post holder will also actively contribute to an effective learning environment.

Scope and Range

• The Registered Nurse Associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes, and behaviours relevant to employment as a Registered Nursing Associate and will work to a nationally recognised Code of Conduct.
• The Registered Nursing Associate works independently under the leadership of Registered Nurses, working within the scope of their competence and the role requirements in the delivery of nursing care.
• The Registered Nurse Associate will have the ability to make decisions within their scope of competence and will liaise and report back any findings and evaluations to Registered Nursing staff., Administer or monitor medicines safely and in a timely manner via the NMC agreed routesof administration - adhering to the Rotherham Doncaster & South Humber NHS FoundationTrust, Safe and Secure Handling of Medicines Policy
