A local healthcare provider in Huddersfield is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse Associate to join their team. The role involves providing compassionate care under the guidance of a registered nurse, with responsibilities including monitoring patient health and assisting with clinical tasks. Youwill be an experienced Nurse Associate who is comfortable working independentlybut under the leadership of our Registered Nurse, supporting with all aspectsof nursing care and improving on the safety and quality of patient care atevery opportunity.
We are looking for somebody to work 25-30 hours per week and do have some flexibility in regard to the days and hours, however we do need somebody who can work the extended access clinic which runs on a Wednesday between 6.30pm to 8.10pm.
Weare seeking an individual who is passionate about directly improving patientcare and delivering high quality care to a wide range of patients.
Youshould be patient-focused, independently motivated, and possess goodcommunication and interpersonal skills.
Youwill ideally be an experienced Nurse Associate; however, a newly qualifiedNurse Associate would be considered with the right motivation, drive andwillingness to learn and develop.

Key Responsibilities
The Nursing Associate will work with the Registered Nurse andother members of the multi professional team, providing and monitoring thecondition and health needs of patients within their care, contributing to theongoing assessment, as agreed with supervising clinician(s) and in line withthe service pathways.
CLINICALRESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver high quality, compassionatecare under the direction of a registered Nurse (or other registered professionalas appropriate) with a focus on promoting health, self-care and independence.
Carry out specific delegated clinicaltasks and responsibilities to a competent standard
Working without direct supervision(where appropriate) within designated parameters of practice of the NurseAssociate role, accessing clinical and care advice when needed
Recognise issues relating tosafeguarding vulnerable children and adults and report any problems or raiseconcerns to the appropriate registered care
Exercise professional accountabilityand comply with practice policy in relation to the safe administration ofmedicines
Use electronic records to record theoutcome of assessment and evaluation of care
Assist in the assessment of andmanagement of risk across the environment where care is being administered
Assist with the implementation andmonitoring of clinical standards and outcomes
Develop a working knowledge of otherproviders resources and referral systems to ensure individuals needs are met,within parameters of practice
Demonstrate good understanding ofprinciples of consent and ensure valid consent is obtained prior to undertakingnursing and care procedures
Demonstrate a good understanding ofthe Mental Capacity act / Deprivation of Liberties and applies principles toeveryday practice seeking advice / guidance from Registered Nurse or otherregistered professional as required
Deliver effective care following plansdetermined by the registered nurse or other registered care professional andprovide feedback on progress against the plan
ADMINISTRATION
Complete all required paperwork forlegal and administrative purposes in accordance with relevant standards
Ensure that all practice policies arefully implemented
Work in accordance with all governanceand internal systems relating to (but not limited to) the management ofclinical data and systems
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
Takingresponsibility for own development with relevant evidence-based knowledge andcompetence in all aspects of the role to meet clinical governance guidelinesfor Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and a Personal Development Plan(PDP).
Stayup to date through attendance at any courses and/or study days necessary toensure that professional development requirements are met, demonstratingskills and activities to others who are undertaking similar work.
Subject to a performance review,including taking responsibility for maintaining a record of own personal and/orprofessional development.
Workclosely with other clinical staff and administrative managers in the setting upand/or improving of practice systems for monitoring/measuring performanceagainst Clinical Governance and Quality Indicator targets
Workto deliver the NHS contract requirements related to the practice (including theterms of the Quality and Outcomes Framework and locally enhanced services)
GOVERNANCE
Producecomplete and accurate records of patient consultation, in line with bestpractice, confidentiality, policies and procedures
Delivercare according to NHS guidance, NICE guidelines and evidence-based care
Takepart in the maintenance of quality governance systems and processes across thePractice and its activities.
Utilisethe audit cycle as a means of evaluating the quality of the work of self andthe team, implementing improvements where required.
Workwith other clinical teams on improving the quality of healthcare in response tolocal and national policies and initiatives as appropriate
Evaluatepatients response to health care provision and the effectiveness of care
Supportand participate in shared learning across the practice and wider organisation
Manage,review and identify learning from patient complaints, clinical incidents andnear-miss events
Awarenessof statutory safeguarding, notification processes and local guidance forchildren/vulnerable patients, applying relevant policies and legislation toprotect them
Ensurecompliance with policies, procedures and guidelines for self and others, bytaking action or alerting senior management team if the practice appears tocontravene policy, or if there are concerns over any aspect of patient care.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Maintain confidentiality ofinformation, acting within the terms of the Data Protection Act and Caldicottguidance on patient confidentiality at all times.
Maintain an awareness of the Freedomof Information Act.
Informationrelating to patients, carers, colleagues, other healthcare workers or thebusiness of the practice may only be divulged to authorised persons inaccordance with the Practice policies and procedures relating toconfidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data
HEALTH &SAFETY
Thepost-holder will manage their own and others health & safety and infectioncontrol as defined in the Practices Health & Safety Policy, the PracticeHealth & Safety Manual, and the Practices Infection Control Policy andpublished procedures.
Comply with Practice health and safetypolicies by following agreed safe working procedures
Activelyreporting of health and safety hazards and infection hazards immediatelywhen recognised
Keepingwork and general areas clean and tidy, and using appropriate infection controlprocedures to keep work areas hygienic and safe from contamination.
Undertaking periodic infection controltraining (minimum annually)
Awarenessand compliance with national standards of infection control, hygiene,regulatory / contractual / professional requirements, and good practiceguidelines.
Correctpersonal use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensuring correct use ofPPE by others, advising on appropriate circumstances for use by clinicians,staff and patients.
Reportingincidents using the organisations Incident Reporting System
Using personalsecurity systems within the workplace according to Practice guidelines
Making effectiveuse of training to update knowledge and skills
