Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified nursing professional with current NMC registration.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in maintaining a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for all patients and carers.
• Determine nursing priorities and plans patient care with escalation to the nurse in charge when needed.
• Maintain nursing records in accordance with NMC guidelines and Trust policies.
• Contribute to Essence of Care initiatives and clinical benchmarking within the unit.
• Support patients and carers, sharing information about changes in condition and care plans.
• Assist in safe custody and administration of medications and treatment.
• Develop clinical knowledge to care for acutely ill patients admitted via planned or urgent routes.
