Job summary

The Hornchurch Care Home, part of Care Concern Group Limited, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) to lead clinical care across shifts in a 55-bed residential, nursing and dementia setting in Hornchurch, Essex.

You will assess needs, develop care plans, administer medications, supervise care staff, and maintain high standards of person-centred care while supporting residents to stay independent and engaged. Ongoing training and clear progression pathways are available.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN.
• Strong clinical judgement and decision making skills.
• Confident in leading shifts and supporting a team.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, but nurses from various backgrounds are welcome.

Job description

The Hornchurch Care Home is a 55 bed care home located in a peaceful residential area of Hornchurch, Essex. Providing residential, nursing and dementia care, the home offers a welcoming environment with bright living spaces, comfortable communal areas, a café, landscaped garden and accessible bedrooms. Colleagues work together in a friendly, family focused setting to provide high quality, person centred care and support Residents to enjoy their interests and daily routines.

Registered Nurse RGN or RMN Contract

• £21.28 to £21.78 per hour
• Contracted to 33 or 44 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.

Role Overview

As Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care while taking responsibility for maintaining safe, effective and person centred practice across your shift. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring standards are upheld and care is delivered consistently in line with best practice.

You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health. Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring continuity and quality of care at all times.

Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your judgement and experience to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, professional environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised.
