Job summary

The Hornchurch Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support residents with daily living while upholding dignity and independence.

You will work within a friendly, family-focused team, receiving full training and ongoing development. The role offers 33 or 44 hours per week, paid DBS and pension, a uniform, and generous annual leave.

The Hornchurch Care Home is a 55 bed care home located in a peaceful residential area of Hornchurch, Essex. Providing residential, nursing and dementia care, the home offers a welcoming environment with bright living spaces, comfortable communal areas, a café, landscaped garden and accessible bedrooms. Colleagues work together in a friendly, family focused setting to provide high quality, person centred care and support Residents to enjoy their interests and daily routines.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.45 to £13.95 per hour
• Contracted to 33 or 44 hours per week
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
