Circle Health Group’s Southend Private Hospital is recruiting a Registered Nurse for 22.5 hours per week on a permanent, part-time basis. The role offers a competitive salary up to £34,000 FTE per year, with a flexible shift pattern to cover the wards.

You will deliver direct nursing care, assess patient needs, monitor conditions, and maintain sound documentation in line with NMC standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Experience in a clinical healthcare setting.
• Good understanding of clinical governance and patient safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in IT systems used for patient records and care planning.
• Experience in a relevant specialty desirable (e.g., surgical, medical, outpatient).

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
• Assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly.
• Monitor vital signs and clinical changes, act with judgement.
• Administer medications safely per hospital policies and the NMC Code.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and care plans.
• Ensure care complies with NMC standards and hospital policies.
• Identify and report incidents and safeguarding concerns.

Salary: Up to £34,000.00 FTE per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in the Wards department.

This is a part-time role for 22.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
• Assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly.
• Monitor vital signs, recognise changes in condition, and accelerate appropriately using clinical judgement.
• Administer medications safely and effectively in accordance with hospital policies and the NMC Code.
• Maintain accurate, legible, and timely nursing documentation, including assessments, care plans, and observations.
• Ensure that all care provided complies with NMC standards, clinical governance requirements, and hospital policies.
• Identify and report incidents, safeguarding concerns, and potential risks in line with hospital procedures.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Demonstrable experience working in a clinical healthcare setting.
• Good understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in IT systems used for patient records, documentation, and care planning.
• Previous experience in a relevant specialty desirable (e.g., surgical, medical, outpatient, orthopaedics, critical care).
