Athena Care Homes' Avocet Court Care Home in Ipswich is seeking a Registered Nurse to ensure the highest level of clinical care for our residents. Reporting to the Clinical Care Manager, you will deliver relationship-centred and dementia care while leading the clinical team.

The role offers a 33-hour weekly rota of 12-hour shifts, with a competitive hourly rate of £22.71. We provide a comprehensive induction and benefits package including DBS/NMC renewals and staff discounts.

Job description

As a Registered Nurse at Avocet Court Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of clinical care is provided to our residents.

About the role:
Reporting to the Clinical Care Manager, the Registered Nurse will provide strong clinical knowledge and leadership to ensure the highest standards are achieved in the delivery of care within the home including relationship centred care, clinical care and dementia care.

Salary:
£22.71 per hour.

Shift Pattern:
33 hours per week. 12-hour shifts worked on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist the Clinical Care Manager with the care delivery in the home, to ensure continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident’s care.
• Assist with ensuring care plans are regularly audited and that they are appropriate to the residents needs and reflect the care being delivered.
• Actively engage with residents in meaningful occupation related to their lifestyle choices at a level and pace that values the individual and respects their dignity and communication differences.
• Lead the clinical team to ensure they are aligned with the Athena vision and are operating from the Athena Charter.

Training, Skills & Experience Required:

• Qualified and NMC registered RN, RMN or RNLD with 1 year post-registration experience.
• Proven track record leading, empowering, supporting and motivating a clinical team.
• Experience delivering high quality relationship centred care.
