Gittisham Hill House Care Home in Honiton is seeking a Registered Nurse (RGN) to join a clinically led team delivering residential, nursing and dementia care. You will work closely with residents, families and the multi-disciplinary team to ensure personalised, safe and compassionate care.

You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medications and lead shifts, supporting colleagues and ensuring documentation and quality standards are maintained.

About Gittisham Hill House Care Home

Gittisham Hill House Care Home is a 38 bed care home set within the peaceful surroundings of Gittisham Hill Park in Honiton, Devon. Providing residential, nursing and dementia care, the home offers a welcoming and family focused environment with bright living spaces, landscaped gardens and comfortable areas for Residents to relax, socialise and enjoy their interests. Colleagues work as part of a caring and experienced team to provide personalised support and high quality care that makes a real difference to Residents.

Registered Nurse RGN Contract

• £23.77 to £24.27 per hour
• Contracted to 44 hours per week
• Paid [PVG/DBS], pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.

Role Overview

As Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care while taking responsibility for maintaining safe, effective and person centred practice across your shift. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring standards are upheld and care is delivered consistently in line with best practice.

You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health. Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring continuity and quality of care at all times.

Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your judgement and experience to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, professional environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised.

What We Are Looking For

• Registered Nurse RGN with an active NMC PIN
• Strong clinical judgement and decision making skills
• Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a team
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, however we welcome nurses from a range of backgrounds who are keen to develop within this environment
