An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic nurse to join the Richard Wells Ward Nursing Team at Bedford Hospital.
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Staff Nurse to join our team. A proven record of and evidence for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) would be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will possess energy, commitment, and a desire to develop themselves and other nurses within this healthcare area. The role involves providing clinical input to ensure high standards of holistic, quality care within a multi-disciplinary setting.
The applicant should demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage change sensitively. Evidence of ongoing professional development is also required.

The post-holder is responsible for direct clinical care of individual and groups of patients, including assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans from admission to discharge. Responsibilities also include taking charge of a ward after an initial development period, managing staff and resources in the absence of the ward manager or deputy, and supervising and teaching both qualified and unqualified staff, including students.
The role requires working in rotation across all ward areas within the surgery and anaesthetics division for clinical development or service needs, including allocation to the admission and discharge facilities. Shifts will be scheduled across a 24-hour period.
