Job description

Fixed term/Secondment opportunity for 12 months due to substantive post holders leave.

Secondment Opportunity – Existing permanent employees must first discuss this opportunity with their substantive line manager and complete the secondment request form prior to interview. The secondment request form and the associated secondment policy can be found on the HR/Recruitment intranet pages and must be completed and signed by the substantive line manager. The Candidate should then take it with them to interview as confirmation that an agreement has been granted.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate Band 5 Community Children’s Nurse to join the Community Children’s Nursing (CCN) Team within NHS Forth Valley on a fixed-term basis for 12 months.

The CCN team delivers high-quality, child-centred care to children and young people with acute, chronic, and complex health needs across community settings including homes, nurseries, and schools. The team works closely with acute paediatric services, including the Children’s Ward and Paediatric Day Unit, to support children closer to home and prevent unnecessary hospital admission.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive registered children’s nurse who is committed to delivering high standards of care.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (Child) with current NMC registration (or RSCN)
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
