Job summary

We are seeking a warm and dedicated Registered Nurse to join Rosebery Manor Care Home, Epsom, for night shifts. You will act as person in charge when required, ensure high standards of care, supervise staff, and coordinate with families and GPs on changes in residents’ conditions.

Qualifications

• Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in care.
• Post-basic studies/qualification encouraged.
• Ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities.
• Sound knowledge of care planning.

• Undertaking nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
• Advising families of residents and GPs of any changes in condition.
• Responsibility for the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team during duty.
• Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
• DBS disclosure (cost covered by Avery) and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

Job description

Your focus as a Registered Nurse will be to act as person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required and observe all instructions to act upon his/her behalf whilst you ensure high standards of care to our residents. Other responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities

• Undertaking nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
• Advising families of residents and GPs of any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
• Responsibility for the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
• Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
• A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

Our Ideal Candidate Must
