Job summary

The Orchard is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our specialist mental health community in Eckington. You will lead a clinical team delivering person-centred care for residents with complex needs, ensuring compassionate, person-led support and adherence to NMC standards.

You will develop care plans, supervise staff, liaise with families and external professionals, and ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act and safeguarding legislation.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experienced in mental health care and person-centred planning.
• Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act, MCA, DoLS, and safeguarding legislation.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop person-centred care plans and risk assessments.
• Lead the care team in delivering meaningful, empathetic support.
• Promote independence, choice, and positive engagement.
• Liaise with families, external professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.
