Job summary

Avon Court Care Home in Chippenham, Wiltshire, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RGN) to join our clinical team. The role involves delivering high-quality, clinically led care, assessing needs, creating and reviewing care plans, administering medications, and monitoring residents’ health.

You will lead shifts, support staff, ensure accurate documentation, and maintain dignity and wellbeing for residents during your shifts. Candidates must hold an active NMC PIN with strong clinical judgement.

About Avon Court Care Home

Avon Court Care Home is a 56 bed care home located in Chippenham, Wiltshire.

Providing nursing and residential care, the home offers a warm and welcoming environment where colleagues work together to deliver high quality, person centred care and make a real difference to the lives of Residents every day.

Registered Nurse RGN Contract £21.28 to £21.78 per hour Contracted to 33 hours per week Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided

5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract) Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.

Role Overview

As Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care while taking responsibility for maintaining safe, effective and person centred practice across your shift.

This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring standards are upheld and care is delivered consistently in line with best practice.

You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health.

Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring continuity and quality of care at all times.

Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your judgement and experience to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, professional environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised.

Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, however we welcome nurses from a range of backgrounds who are keen to develop within this environment
