Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, dedicated Registered Nurse for Pemberley House Care Home in Hampshire. You will act as person in charge when required and uphold high standards of care for residents.

Responsibilities include medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, chronic condition management, and supervising care staff to ensure daily resident needs are met. The ideal candidate holds a First Level qualification with current NMC Registration and at least 2 years'

Qualifications

• Hold a First Level nursing qualification.
• Current NMC Registration.
• Minimum 2 years' nursing experience.
• Post-basic studies/qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and chronic condition management.
• Supervising and supporting care staff to ensure residents receive required care.
• Accurate assessment, planning, and ensuring high standards of care.
• Liaising with families and GPs to inform changes in resident condition.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as aRegistered Nursewill beto act as person in charge,standingin for the Manager asrequiredandobserveall instructions to act upon his/her behalfwhilst youensurehigh standardsof care toourresidents.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

Undertakingnursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.

Advisingfamilies of residents andGPsof any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.

Responsibilityfor the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.

Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.

Our ideal candidatemust:

Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration.

Demonstrate a minimum 2years' experienceand up to date knowledge of care,supported by relevant post-basic studies/qualification.

Display good interpersonal skills and ability to instruct anddemonstratecare activities.

Have Sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application.
