Job summary

Meallmore is opening Pitfodels Wood Care Home in Aberdeen in Autumn 2026, inviting Registered Nurses to join a brand-new 65-bed facility. You will lead shifts, provide high-standard, person-centred nursing care and support a dedicated care team within a luxurious, purpose-built setting.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be integral to delivering exceptional resident care, staying compliant with NMC standards, and fostering a calm, compassionate environment where residents can thrive.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration and practising certificate.
• Experience leading a team (desirable).
• Strong knowledge of current clinical practices and regulatory frameworks.
• Professional, compassionate and motivated with a person-centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to maintain high nursing care standards and safe shift operation.
• Deliver hands-on clinical care and support to residents to promote wellbeing.
• Advocate for a person-centred approach to care for residents and families.
• Develop and monitor tailored care plans and risk assessments in line with regulations.

Pitfodels Wood is our brand new 65-bed, luxury care home located in Aberdeen’s prestigious Pitfodels Conservation Area in the city’s sought-after West End. Combining five-star hospitality with high-quality, person-centred care, we are setting a new benchmark for care in the North East.

Working as Registered Nurse with Meallmore, we will work together to enrich our residents’ lives as you provide high standards of person-centred nursing care whilst leading and supporting the team – where our residents wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.

Role & Responsibilities

• Upholding high nursing care standards by leading the team and ensuring the shift runs smoothly by creating a safe and supporting environment in line with NMC codes of practice

• Deliver hands on clinical care, leadership and support to provide the highest standards of person-centred care ensuring our residents live their best lives

• Advocate and deliver a person-centred approach to care for our residents and their families

• Develop and monitor comprehensive, tailored care plans and detailed risk assessments adhering to regulatory frameworks

What we are looking for

• Valid NMC registration

• Previous experience leading a team (desirable)

• Excellent knowledge of the most up-to-date clinical practices and regulatory frameworks

• Professional, compassionate and motivated - you’ll pride yourself on your person-centred, thoughtful approach to nursing

• What’s just as important is that you are organised, flexible in your approach and have great communication skills
