Job summary

Parklands Care Homes’ Weston View Care Home in Keith, Scotland is seeking a Registered Night Nurse to join the team on a permanent night shift. You’ll deliver high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care, administer medications, and work closely with the Care Home Manager and staff to meet residents’ health and wellbeing needs.

You must be NMC registered and passionate about improving residents’ lives, with strong clinical skills and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents with dignity and respect.
• Administer medications and assist NHS/GP visits.
• Support care home staff; assist with mealtimes; act as Shift Leader when needed.
• Maintain nursing records; liaise with medical and non‑medical staff.
• Conduct physiological assessments and provide palliative care support.
• Manage nursing equipment and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Pursue continuous professional development and comply with QMS.

We are looking for a Registered Night Nurse who is dedicated to making every moment count. Suitable applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

As a Registered Night Nurse you will use your knowledge and professional judgement to ensure our residents health and wellbeing needs are met. You will also work closely with the Care Home Manager and staff team to provide the highest level of person‑centred care. This role requires excellent clinical skills and a passion for improving the lives of our residents.

The Role...

• To support the care, protection, and wellbeing, of all residents, by treating them with respect and dignity, assisting with their protection and promoting their independence.
• Provide quality, evidence‑based nursing care to residents.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, as well as administering medications and assisting with NHS and GP visits.
• Support care home staff, help with mealtimes, and act as Shift Leader when needed.
• Maintaining accurate nursing records, liaising with medical and non‑medical staff, conducting physiological assessments, and providing palliative care support to residents and their families.
• Manage nursing equipment, conduct training, and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
• Continuous professional development and adherence to the Parklands Quality Management System (Q.M.S) are essential, along with attending mandatory training and performing nursing audits.
