Job summary

Parklands Care Homes is seeking a Relief Registered Nurse to join our care teams at Weston View and Wakefield House. You will deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care, administer medications, and support residents and families with clinical needs.

The role requires NMC registration and a passion for improving residents' lives. You will work with the Care Home Manager and staff, covering days and/or nights as required, with competitive hourly rates.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Relief Registered Nurse position requiring clinical expertise and good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Support residents' health and wellbeing with person-centred care.
• Provide quality nursing care to residents and administer medications.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; liaise with NHS and GP visits.
• Support care home staff, assist with mealtimes, and act as Shift Leader when needed.
• Maintain nursing records, perform physiological assessments, and provide palliative care.

We are looking for Relief Registered Nurses who are dedicated to making every moment count. Suitable applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

As a Relief Registered Nurse you will use your knowledge and professional judgement to ensure our residents health and wellbeing needs are met. You will also work closely with the Care Home Manager and staff team to provide the highest level of person-centred care. This role requires excellent clinical skills and a passion for improving the lives of our residents.

The Role...

• To support the care, protection, and wellbeing, of all residents, by treating them with respect and dignity, assisting with their protection and promoting their independence.
• Provide quality, evidence-based nursing care to residents.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, as well as administering medications and assisting with NHS and GP visits.
• Support care home staff, help with mealtimes, and act as Shift Leader when needed.
• Maintaining accurate nursing records, liaising with medical and non-medical staff, conducting physiological assessments, and providing palliative care support to residents and their families.
• Manage nursing equipment, conduct training, and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
• Continuous professional development and adherence to the Parklands Quality Management System (Q.M.S) are essential, along with attending mandatory training and performing nursing audits.
