About the role
This is a highly skilled nursing role where you’ll be accountable and responsible for supporting people’s holistic needs. It requires a range of clinical and nursing skills.
You’llprovide the highest standards of nursing care for adults living with complex care and health needs.Our care focuses on maximising independence and building everyday living skills.
No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
assessing, planning and implementing care for the people we support
providing person-centred and evidence-based nursing care
developing collaborative needs-based care plans through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
safe administration of medication
promoting health and wellbeing
being the Nurse in Charge of a small unit whilst on shift
managing situations when people display behaviours which may challenge
promoting choice, dignity, independence and respect.

About you

able to demonstrate a range of clinical skills

knowledgeable of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and committed to working within its Codes of Practice.

To apply for this role, you must have a first-level nursing registration with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN. We’re looking for Registered Nurses, from all backgrounds (Adult, Mental Health and Learning Disability Nurses).

To round off the day, lets hear from Dave!
Dave moved to Willowbeck following a ski accident, which resulted in a brain stem stroke, leaving him with severe physical difficulties diagnosed as locked-in syndrome. As well as building up his mobility, he's the home's Service User Ambassador.
"I love being a Service User Ambassador! I enjoy feeling like I contribute to the community I live in, and towards the health and wellbeing of others."
The Nurses at Willowbeck have been a huge part of Dave's journey, and message of thanks echo that.

With support from the team at Quarryfields, she also attends DICE Enterprise - a non-profit organisation that runs activities and events for disabled people - twice a week.
It was there her journey led her to finding her perfect match, her fiancé, Jacob.
From hospital appointments to finding love, the Nurses at Quarryfields have been with her every step of the way!

26 staff and residents walked eight miles to Hollingworth Lake and back raising over £1000 for the Huntington's Disease Association

Edgewater is a short drive from the M53 and other major roads including the A60 and A617.
If you're travelling north on the M53, take the exit for A5139 towards All Docks.
Continue on the A5139 for 2 miles then turn left onto Oakdale Road.
Turn right onto Vernon Avenue, then right again onto B5144.
Take a slight left onto Wheatland Lane, then turn right onto Alfred Road.
Edgewater is on your left.
There are limited parking spaces in the home’s car park.
The home is a short walk from several bus stops.
Wheatland Lanebus stop (stop ID: meramdmp)which is accessed by buses 409 and 411.
Corbyn Streetbus stop (stop ID: meramdmt)which is accessed by buses 409 and 411.
There's also a train station in the local area.
Hamilton Square - 1.1miles away (27minute walk or 5 minute drive).
