Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join the Unscheduled Care Assessment Team (UCAT) based at Whyteman’s Brae Hospital. You will work with colleagues to respond to unscheduled mental health care across a 24/7 service, drawing on your team skills, initiative and strong communication.

A requirement is to have a valid NMC registration, with PVG checks and UK work-right verification part of pre-employment checks. Prior staff nurse experience in mental health is essential.

Responsibilities

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced Mental Health Nurse to join the Unscheduled Care Assessment Team (UCAT) based at Whyteman’s Brae Hospital. We are looking for nurses who possess excellent team working skills, use initiative, have excellent verbal and non-verbal communication and time management skills. Also, a requirement is to have a valid NMC registration. There is a wide range of ongoing training opportunities within NHS Fife to develop your skills and range of clinical supervisors within the mental health service. UCAT provide, in collaboration with medical staff colleagues, a response to all episodes of unscheduled mental health care in Fife. This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week service. Candidates are required to have considerable experience as a Staff Nurse in an appropriate mental health setting.
