This post is only open to candidates who already have their NMC registration and have completed the preceptorship programme. Newly qualified applicants or those due to qualify will be recruited via a separate process.
As a Staff Nurse on Danby Ward, you will be involved in a large multidisciplinary team striving for excellent patient care. You will participate in formulation and discharge planning for patients on the ward.
Each inpatient ward is fully equipped with activity and therapeutic spaces to support recovery and timely discharge back into the community with appropriate support packages.
Cross Lane is a purpose-built mental health hospital offering services including 46 inpatient bedrooms with en-suite facilities for working-age adults and older persons. Esk (female ward) and Danby (male ward) are both 13-bedded wards.
The hospital features vocational and therapeutic areas in a friendly environment. It provides inpatient care across four wards for different age groups.
We support your development through regular supervision, training, and a role within our evolving team, focusing on Patient-Centred Care, carer support, and evidence-based practice. Newly qualified nurses will receive a preceptorship package.
The successful candidate will work shifts covering 24/7 days, nights, and public holidays.
