Job summary

Priory Hospital North London is recruiting a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the Nursing department. The role is full‑time (37.5 hours per week) with three 11.5‑hour shifts, based at Priory Hospital North London.

The successful candidate will be an RMN with 6–12 months post-registration experience, active NMC registration and completed preceptorship. We offer a supportive environment with regular professional development, opportunities to move into leadership and qualified clinical roles,

Priory Hospital North London has an opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team. This role is not suitable for newly qualified nurses or preceptorship nurses. The position is full‑time (37.5 hours per week) and involves three 11.5‑hour shifts.

Compensation: £37,386 per year

Priory Hospital North London is a specialist centre for the treatment of a range of mental health difficulties, including addictions, depression, anxiety, stress and obsessive‑compulsive disorder (OCD). We also offer private autism assessments for adults and are conveniently located in Southgate with excellent public transport links.

Essential for the role

• A qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6-12 months of post-registration experience, active NMC registration and completion of a preceptorship programme.
• Strong understanding of NMC guidelines, requirements and professional standards, and evidence of ongoing post-registration continuing professional development.
• Positive attitude, commitment to change, service improvement, and high-quality care.
• Ability to adopt flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
