Job summary

Priory is seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our compassionate team. You will deliver high-quality, person-centred mental health care, act as Named Nurse, and work within an MDT to coordinate care plans and monitor patient progress.

The role requires NMC registration, completion of a preceptorship, and at least six months post-registration experience, with strong communication skills and a commitment to CPD.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Provide high-quality, person-centred mental health nursing care, working closely with patients, families and carers.
• Act as a Named Nurse, assessing patients needs, developing and reviewing care plans and monitoring their progress.
• Observe and engage with patients to identify changes in their presentation, responding appropriately to changing needs and risks.
• Work closely with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to coordinate and deliver effective patient care.
• Prioritise and delegate nursing duties appropriately, taking charge of the ward when required and maintaining a safe care environment.
• Support the safe management of medication and ensure care is delivered in line with safeguarding, Mental Health, Mental Capacity and DoLS requirements.
  Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration.
• Completed a nursing preceptorship programme.
• Minimum 6 months post-registration experience.
