Full Job Description

We are looking for passionate Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) and Learning Disability Nurses (RNLD) with a drive for providing excellent, professional, and effective care. If you believe you make a difference to the lives of those living with chronic, complex mental and sometimes physical health needs, this could be the role for you. You will work in a fast-paced but rewarding environment with a great team.

What To Expect

As part of our nursing team, you will play a pivotal role within the hospital, not only as a care professional but also as a mentor and guide to our support workers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Developing, implementing, evaluating, and recording patient-centered care plans.
  2. Working collaboratively as a Primary Nurse within the multidisciplinary team, liaising with professionals and agencies.
  3. Facilitating daily hospital activities.
  4. Ensuring effective communication with service users, carers, visitors, and staff.
  5. Implementing the Mental Health Act where necessary.
  6. Maintaining a learning environment.
  7. Assisting with the development and revision of local policies and procedures.

In your role as a Nouvita Nurse, you'll build a secure and productive career, nurturing your current skills while developing new ones. As a senior member, you'll demonstrate enthusiasm and professionalism, serving as a role model for junior staff, supported by our experienced management team.

Training

We offer an in-house training programme of up to 11 annual classes to prepare you for various situations. During induction, you'll complete a paid e-learning course and a 5-day paid training programme. Ongoing development will be tailored to your and the hospital's needs.

Benefits

We support your growth to become a role model within our care home. We believe a happy environment fosters productivity, so we offer a comprehensive benefits package to enhance your experience with us.

About Us

Baldock Manor is a 40-bed hospital in north Hertfordshire providing specialist psychiatric services for adults. The hospital has two female PICU wards and two acute wards. Our PICU services support women at crisis level with severe mental disorders requiring rapid assessment and stabilization. Our acute wards care for older adults, usually 55+, in short-term stays to stabilize their mental health, typically less than forty days.
