Job Title: Residential Children's Home Manager

Location: Workington, CA14

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership and management to ensure a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for children.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting positive outcomes for young people.
  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of dedicated staff, fostering a culture of continuous development and high performance.
  • Ensure effective safeguarding procedures are in place, prioritizing the welfare and wellbeing of all children.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, local authorities, and families.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring financial sustainability and efficiency.
  • Continuously strive for service improvement through monitoring, evaluation, and feedback.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Willingness to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
  • Level 3 in Children's residential
  • At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role within a children’s residential setting managing care staff
  • Worked 2 out of the past 5 years in children's residential
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and child protection.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for working with children and young people, with a commitment to promoting their development and well-being.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a positive and supportive culture.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A full UK driving license is desirable.
