Job summary

Avalon Group is a award-winning charity recruiting a Shared Lives Registered Manager to lead strategic development, governance and operational oversight of its growing Shared Lives services across localities.

This role reports to the Head of Operations and offers the opportunity to shape innovative, relationship-based support models that change lives while ensuring safeguarding and inspection readiness across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience managing regulated adult social care services.
• Understanding Shared Lives and relationship-based support models.
• Strong safeguarding, governance, and CQC knowledge.
• Ability to lead operational teams through growth and change.
• Strong relationships with commissioners and stakeholders.
• Values-led, compassionate, solution-focused.

Responsibilities

• Hold CQC Registered Manager responsibility for Shared Lives services.
• Lead service growth, operational oversight, governance, and quality assurance.
• Build strong relationships with commissioners, Shared Lives Plus, carers, and stakeholders.
• Support the transfer of existing schemes and launch Shared Lives in two new local authority areas.
• Drive recruitment, retention, and development of Shared Lives – including coordinators, development specialists and carers.
• Lead safeguarding, compliance, and inspection readiness activity.
• Support digital transformation and service improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to strategic growth, tenders, and partnership development.

Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with some flexibility when needed. On call duties would be required, and this would be on a rota basis.

£36,500 to £38,250 (dependent upon experience)

Location

A full UK Driving Licence is essential. Expectation to travel across the Avalon Localities

Registered Manager – Shared Lives

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Shared Lives Registered Manager to lead the strategic development, governance, and operational oversight of our growing Shared Lives services across existing and emerging localities.
