Job description

Registered Manager | Medium Sized Luxury Care Home
Uxbridge

Are you passionate about building a resident-first culture with a motivated, empowered team?

Do you thrive on combining clinical excellence with commercial success?

Do you want the autonomy to lead an established home, drive occupancy, and take quality from Good to Outstanding?

Then this could be the position for you!

We are working with a respected and expanding elderly care provider seeking an ambitious Home Manager to lead a well-established, medium sized character care home in Uxbridge. The home offers nursing, dementia, residential and respite care across three floors, with a planned programme of refurbishment and investment.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to take ownership of an existing service, build on a recent Good CQC rating, strengthen the team and culture, and position the home as the local care home of choice.

This is a growing operator with a strong portfolio of high-quality care homes. The group is recognised for its values-led approach, consistently placing residents and staff at the heart of everything they do. Their services span nursing, dementia and residential care. Known for investing in facilities, staffing, training and resources, the organisation continues to deliver high standards.

Home Managers are given genuine operational autonomy, backed by a clear support structure from senior leadership and dedicated quality teams. You will be empowered and fully resourced to set standards, manage the budget, shape the team and deliver both quality and commercial outcomes without being micromanaged.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operationally lead a circa 39-bed character home across nursing, dementia, residential and respite services.
  • Recruit, mentor and develop a high-performing staff team, including deputies and heads of department, with a focus on retention and minimal agency use.
  • Build on the home's recent Good CQC rating and lead the service towards Outstanding, embedding strong governance and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Drive occupancy growth (including the shift from local authority / block beds towards private), financial performance and long-term sustainability.
  • Oversee planned refurbishment and operational readiness while maintaining a homely, person-centred environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residents and families, CQC and regulators, local authorities, commissioners, hospitals and community partners.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven Registered Manager experience in adult social care - ideally 3+ years managing a residential or nursing home of a similar type and size.
  • Nurse-qualified (RGN preferred; RMN considered) with strong clinical and operational oversight.
  • Successful track record of achieving Good or Outstanding CQC ratings; turnaround or first-inspection leadership experience is advantageous.
  • Commercially aware: occupancy growth, budget control, local market positioning and quality-linked financial performance.
  • Visible, hands-on, values-led leader who builds, inspires and retains teams, with a high-visibility, approachable style.
  • Confident stakeholder manager with the ability to establish a strong local reputation quickly.
The Home
  • Established character home with a homely feel, offering nursing, dementia, residential and respite care.
  • Around 39 beds across three floors, with planned refurbishment and ongoing investment.
  • Recent Good CQC rating, with a clear brief to embed outstanding practice and become the local home of choice.
  • Strong organisational backing, competitive salary and bonus linked to occupancy and quality outcomes, and excellent long-term career progression within a growing group.
  • Genuine autonomy for the Home Manager, with senior and quality-team support rather than distant control.
Location

The home is in West London and is commutable from Uxbridge, Hillingdon, Hayes, Ruislip, Heathrow, Slough, Watford, Ealing and the wider West London / Buckinghamshire area.

Summary

Our client is seeking an ambitious, values-driven Home Manager to take the lead of an established West London service. Offering a salary of £70,000 DOE plus bonus and benefits, this is an exceptional opportunity to run a home with real autonomy, build on a recent Good CQC rating, and make a lasting mark with a supportive, growing provider committed to outstanding care.
