Job Description:

A leading care provider is seeking to appoint an Occupational Therapist to join one of their specialist hospitals in Bury. This role offers the opportunity to work in a stunning setting with a great team supporting individuals with mental health and complex care needs.

The successful candidate will provide Occupational Therapy interventions, applying an evidence-based, flexible, and client-centered approach within the multidisciplinary team to meet clients' health and social care needs.

Main duties include:

• Represent OT as a specialist practitioner within mental health, providing clear, evidence-based knowledge and information.
• Manage a caseload of clients with complex needs, planning and implementing assessments, interventions, and treatment programs based on evidence-based principles.
• Undertake comprehensive and timely assessments of clients.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills relevant to the field.
• Take responsibility for ongoing personal and professional development.

Key skills required include:

• Qualified, HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.
• Experience working in mental health and challenging behaviors is preferred.
• Adaptable and creative, with the ability to work with difficult-to-engage individuals exhibiting challenging behaviors.
• Knowledge of Sensory Integration is beneficial but can be supported if required.
