Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager, overseeing a brand-new Residential Children's Home supporting children with learning disabilities, ASD and associated needs. Each home has an experienced team of adults who apply a therapeutic approach in a homely environment.

Job Description
  1. You will be leading the opening of a brand new home supporting young people with Learning Disabilities and must have a commitment to prioritising the welfare of young people above all else.
  2. Comprehensive understanding of Safeguarding principles and practices.
  3. Ability to manage efficiently and fairly, fostering an environment conducive to the growth and development of both staff and residents.
  4. Desire to work for a company that invests in the professional progression of its employees.
Requirements
  1. QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (to be obtained within 3 years of starting to manage the children’s home)
  2. OR Registered Managers Award/NVQ 4 in Health and Social Care and Management
  3. OR Relevant management qualification (equivalent to the Level 5 Diploma).
  4. Minimum of 2 years in a management position within residential care of children in the last 5 years.
  5. Minimum of 1 year experience of line management/staff supervision of staff in a care role
  6. Management in a relevant residential care setting.
  7. Worked within the Ofsted inspection framework.
