Registered Manager - LD Residential Children's Home

Location: Spalding, United Kingdom

Salary: A£40,000 - A£50,000 with incentives up to A£10,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as a Registered Manager, overseeing a brand-new Residential Children's Home in Spalding working for a group of specialist children's homes supporting children with learning disabilities, ASD and associated needs. Each of the homes has an experienced team of adults who apply a therapeutic approach in a homely environment. Our client believes that children should have the opportunity to experience, develop, grow and take part in all aspects of daily living, irrespective of their abilities; with this in mind they are truly committed to nurturing and encouraging an atmosphere of "anything is possible" until proven otherwise, even then they will do their best to find a positive solution.

Job Description

  1. You will be leading the opening of a brand new home supporting young people with Learning Disabilities and must have a commitment to prioritising the welfare of young people above all else.
  2. Comprehensive understanding of Safeguarding principles and practices.
  3. Ability to manage efficiently and fairly, fostering an environment conducive to the growth and development of both staff and residents.
  4. Desire to work for a company that invests in the professional progression of its employees.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  2. Foster a nurturing environment where young people can flourish and develop their potential.
  3. Effectively communicate with residents and staff members to address needs and concerns.
  4. Provide leadership and supervision to staff members, promoting professional growth and development.
  5. Collaborate with external stakeholders to facilitate opportunities for further education and career advancement for young residents.
  6. Uphold the company ethos of prioritising the well-being and development of young people.

Requirements

  1. QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (to be obtained within 3 years of starting to manage the children's home)
  2. OR
  3. Registered Managers Award/NVQ 4 in Health and Social Care and Management
  4. OR
  5. Relevant management qualification (equivalent to the Level 5 Diploma).
  6. Minimum of 2 years in a management position within residential care of children in the last 5 years.
  7. Minimum of 1 year experience of line management/staff supervision of staff in a care role Management in a relevant residential care setting.
  8. Worked within Ofsted inspection framework.
