RJS Resourcing is working with an established provider of childrens residential care who are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 3-bed home in the Birmingham/Dudley area. The home is rated Good by Ofsted and benefits from a strong leadership team.

You will be responsible for day-to-day management, safeguarding, and ensuring high-quality, child-centred care. The role offers a competitive package up to £70,000, a supportive environment and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience managing a childrens residential home.
• Proven track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong and consistent leadership to the home and wider care team.
• Ensure the home meets Ofsted expectations and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Maintain high safeguarding and care standards.
• Support, develop and manage the staff team.
• Ensure young people receive individualised, child-centred care.
• Work closely with professionals, families and other agencies.
• Maintain strong operational and regulatory standards.
• Identify opportunities to further develop the home and improve outcomes.

Registered Manager Childrens Residential Care

Location: Halesowen
Salary: Competitive package up to £70,000
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

RJS Resourcing is currently working with an established provider of childrens residential care who are looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead one of their established homes in the Birmingham/Dudley area.

The home is rated Good by Ofsted and has a supportive and experienced senior leadership team in place. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Registered Manager to build on strong foundations, shape the service and make a lasting difference to the lives of young people.

The Role

You will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of a 3-bed childrens residential home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

Working alongside an experienced senior leadership team, you will be responsible for maintaining the high standards already established within the home while continuing to develop the service and achieve positive outcomes for the young people.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing strong and consistent leadership to the home and wider care team


• Ensuring the home continues to meet Ofsted expectations and the Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards


• Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and care


• Supporting, developing and managing the staff team


• Ensuring young people receive individualised, child-centred care


• Working closely with professionals, families and other agencies


• Maintaining strong operational and regulatory standards


• Identifying opportunities to further develop the home and improve outcomes

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or equivalent


• A minimum of 3 years experience managing a childrens residential home


• A proven track record of achieving and maintaining Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes


• Strong knowledge of the Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards


• Strong safeguarding and staff-management skills


• A confident, child-centred leadership style


• Experience supporting young people with EBD would be beneficial
