Job summary

Corus Consultancy Limited is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a Children's Residential Home in Bloxwich. You will oversee day-to-day operations, safeguarding, and service development, ensuring top quality care for young people.

The role offers scope to manage two homes for exceptional candidates, with a salary package of £65,000 per year. You will drive a positive culture, lead staff, and ensure regulatory compliance with Ofsted and related regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Children's Residential Care setting in a management capacity within the last 5 years.
• Experience meeting Ofsted Registered Manager requirements.
• Previous registration with Ofsted or working towards it.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and children's residential care regulations.
• Proven ability to manage and develop staff teams.
• Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
• A caring, resilient, and child‑focused approach.
• Flexibility beyond standard 9‑5 hours.

• Managing recruitment, supervision, performance management, and staff development.
• Completing care planning, risk assessments, and placement matching processes.
• Building strong relationships with social workers, families, and external professionals.
• Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and child protection.
• Monitoring service performance and driving continuous improvement.
• Managing budgets and ensuring effective resource allocation.
• Being part of the on‑call management rota.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our Children's Residential Home in Bloxwich. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience working within a Children's Residential Care setting in a management capacity within the last 5 years.
• Experience meeting Ofsted Registered Manager requirements.
• Previous experience of holding, or working towards, registration with Ofsted.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and children's residential care regulations.
• Proven ability to manage and develop staff teams.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (desirable).
• Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
• A caring, resilient, and child‑focused approach.
• Understanding that children's residential care is not a standard 9‑5 role and flexibility is required.
