Job summary

RJS RESOURCING LTD is seeking a Registered Manager to lead the registration of a brand-new solo placement children’s home in Prestwich. You will oversee recruitment, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance to create a nurturing environment for a young person in care.

The ideal candidate will have deputy management experience in a children’s residential setting, strong Ofsted knowledge, and a Level 5 Diploma (or working toward it). A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Deputy Manager or senior leader in a children’s residential home.
• Desire to progress into Registered Management.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirements.
• Experience supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare, or be working towards it.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Ofsted registration of a brand-new solo placement home.

• Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing staff team.
• Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.

• Embed a child-centred, trauma-informed culture throughout the home.
• Work closely with the Responsible Individual and senior leadership team to achieve Outstanding outcomes.

The Role

About You

You’ll Ideally Have

• Experience as a Deputy Manager or senior leader within a children’s residential home
• A genuine desire to progress into Registered Management
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirements
• Experience supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare, or be working towards it
• A full UK Driving Licence
• A passion for delivering exceptional outcomes for children and young people
