SGS Care Ltd is seeking a committed Registered Manager to lead a new children's home in Weston-super-Mare. This role involves delivering high-quality care for young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties. Successful candidates will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of legislation, and experience in residential children's care. Location: Worle, Weston-Super-Mare
Salary: Up to £53,725.86 (including bonuses)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Service: Children’s Home
Service Users: Young People aged 8–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), Trauma, CSE, CCE
Qualifications Required: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People), Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People Workforce or equivalent
Experience in Years Required: Minimum 2 years in residential children’s care, 1 year supervising/managing care staff
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Number of Beds: 4
Location: Rural setting in Worle, Weston-Super-Mare
Type of YPs: EBD, Trauma, Neglect, CSE, CCE
Ofsted Rating: New Service – To Be Registered
Ratio of Staff to Children: 9 staff team
An experienced and passionate Registered Manager who is committed to delivering high-quality care that transforms the lives of children and young people. You will have the ability to lead and develop a team, provide a nurturing and safe environment, and work towards outstanding outcomes. A strong understanding of legislation, inspection requirements, and safeguarding is essential.
You’ll be joining a well-established and respected organisation that has been supporting young people since 1999. Known for their holistic and individualised approach, this is a medium-sized provider with multiple homes across the region. Their homes offer nurturing environments for young people to thrive, supported by dedicated, caring teams.

Bonuses:
Occupancy Bonus: £175 per child after the first (e.g. £525/month in a full home)
Ofsted Bonuses: £500 for Good, £1000 for Outstanding
On-call Payments: £10/weekday, £50/weekend day
Annual Leave: 22 days plus bank holidays
️ Enhanced Sick Pay after 6 months (5 days full pay)
Pension: Non-contributory (9% employer contribution)
