Job summary

Agincare is seeking a Registered Care Home Manager to lead a Gloucestershire home, creating a warm, safe environment where residents feel at home and receive high-quality care. You will inspire a dedicated team and uphold compassion, dignity and excellence in all care delivery.

You will drive regulatory compliance, senior leadership, and continuous improvement while managing staffing and budgets to meet KPIs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 months right to work in the UK.
  • Management qualification at QCF level 4 or equivalent or willingness to work towards this qualification.
  • Experience of running a residential care home and knowledge of regulatory framework.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable client groups.
  • Able to work 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team to provide a safe, caring, responsive and effective service for residents.
  • Ensure delivery of high care standards in full compliance with CQC regulations.
  • Achieve operational and quality assurance KPIs.
  • Induct and train staff; supervise and support the team.
  • Ensure effective staffing and contingency planning for absences.
  • Investigate complaints; manage safeguarding and duty of candour notifications.

What is required from you?

  • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK

A day in the life of a Registered Manager

As the Registered Manager, you will lead the team to provide a safe, caring, responsive and effective service for the residents in your care home, ensuring delivery of the highest possible care standards fully compliant with all CQC statutory regulations, whilst making sure you achieve your operational and quality assurance KPI's.

Your Day To Day Responsibilities Therefore Will Include
  • Ensuring all your residents understand the care and treatment choices that are available to them and that the care is provided in a way that promotes choice, dignity and individuality
  • Reviewing existing care provision to ensure it meets the current physical and mental health needs of your residents and in turn liaising with the residents, internal staff, health professionals, social workers and other interested parties to adapt existing plans to meet current needs
  • Ensuring that auditing is carried out to fully understand that quality of the service being provided and taking quick reparative action if any concerns are raised
  • Ensuring that effective risk assessments are in place to protect the needs of your residents and the overall safety of your home.
  • Inducting new staff, and ensuring that existing staff are regularly trained, motivated, supervised and supported.
  • Carrying out any potential disciplinary or formative action against team members as and when required.
  • Effectively staffing your home to ensure that personnel can cover the needs of your residents and having effective contingency plans in case of unexpected absence or events.
  • Investigating any complaints surrounding safeguarding, abuse, or delivery of your services and ensuring notifications and duty of candour are sent to the right parties.
