Job summary

Marva is recruiting a Registered Learning Disability Nurse to deliver person-centred nursing support in the community, including individuals with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. You will work in clients' homes and local communities, promoting independence and safe, meaningful living.

Applicants must hold an RNLD qualification, be actively registered with the NMC, and have at least 12 months' relevant experience. A PMVA certificate, driving licence and UK work rights are required.

Qualifications

  • Registered Learning Disability Nurse qualification.
  • Active NMC registration.
  • Minimum 12 months' experience supporting young adults and children with learning disabilities and complex needs.
  • Experience with autism, ADHD and behaviours that challenge.
  • Experience using Positive Behaviour Support and person-centred care approaches.
  • PMVA certificate.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Registered Learning Disability Nurse looking for a rewarding role supporting young adults and children with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs in the community?

MUVE Healthcare is looking for an experienced RNLD to deliver high-quality, person‑centred nursing support to individuals living in their own homes and within the community. This is a hands‑on clinical role focused on promoting independence, improving quality of life and enabling people to live safely and confidently in their own environments.

As an RNLD, you will provide specialist clinical care while leading and supporting Support Workers to ensure outstanding care is delivered consistently. This role is ideal for a nurse who is empathetic, resilient and passionate about empowering individuals to achieve their personal goals.

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registered Learning Disability Nurse qualification
  • Active NMC registration
  • Minimum 12 months' experience supporting young adults and children with learning disabilities and complex needs
  • Experience supporting individuals with autism, ADHD and behaviours that challenge
  • Experience working within Positive Behaviour Support and person‑centred care approaches
  • Confidence using digital care systems and clinical documentation

About the role

Your Responsibilities as a Registered Learning Disability Nurse

In this rewarding community-based role, you will provide specialist nursing support to young adults and children with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD and complex needs in their own homes and local communities. Your focus will be on promoting independence, supporting positive outcomes and enabling each individual to live a safe, fulfilling and meaningful life.

  • Delivering high‑quality nursing care in line with best practice, NMC standards and person‑centred care principles.
  • Completing clinical assessments, risk assessments and person‑centred care plans that promote independence and maximise each individual's potential.
  • Monitoring health needs, supporting medication management and identifying changes in clinical presentation.
  • Implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies and using therapeutic approaches to safely manage behaviours that challenge.
  • Leading and supporting Support Workers by providing clinical direction, delegating appropriate tasks and ensuring care is delivered safely, consistently and in line with each individual's care plan.
  • Guiding Support Workers in supporting individuals with daily living activities, personal routines, community participation, communication and independence while maintaining high standards of care.
  • Providing clinical advice, mentoring and ongoing support to care teams, promoting best practice and ensuring positive outcomes for the individuals we support.
  • Maintaining accurate digital clinical records, care plans, risk assessments and incident reports.
  • Working collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, person‑centred care.
  • Empowering individuals to make informed choices, achieve personal goals and live as independently as possible within their homes and communities.
