Job summary

McCarthy Stone is seeking an experienced Registered Estate Manager for Watson Place, a Retirement Living Plus development in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. You will oversee day-to-day operations, care delivery, and the overall running of the community to ensure residents enjoy independence and a vibrant lifestyle.

You will lead a care and support team, uphold high quality standards, ensure CQC compliance, and collaborate with Sales/Rentals to promote occupancy and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or be 75% complete and able to finish in probation).
• Experience managing a registered care or housing-with-care service.
• Knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong people management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily development operations ensuring high-quality care and support.
• Lead and supervise a dedicated care team.
• Maintain CQC compliance and manage audits and safeguarding.

The Vacancy

• Location: Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire
• Contract: Full-time, Permanent
• Hours: 38.75 per week (with some weekend, work each month.)
• Salary: £42,877.80 plus UNCAPPED annual and quarterly performance bonuses.

Registered Estate Manager – Independent Living Development

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Estate Manager to join the team at our Watson Place, Retirement Living Plus Development in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. You will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management, care delivery, and operational running of the community, ensuring residents enjoy independence, dignity, and a vibrant lifestyle.

As the Registered Care Manager, you will provide strong leadership to your care and support team, uphold the highest quality standards, and ensure compliance with CQC regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be a confident leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, able to balance care quality with operational efficiency.

Essential

• Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or must be 75% completed and must be able to complete in your probation period.
• Previous experience in managing a registered care or housing-with-care service
• Knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements
• Excellent people management and organisational skills

Desirable

• Experience within retirement living, extra care, or domiciliary care settings
• Ability to manage budgets and service delivery to a high standard
