Job summary

Esland is seeking a Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead our Nelson residential service. You will oversee a single-site home for 6 to 18-year-olds with complex needs, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance.

You will hold Level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (essential) and preferably Level 5. A minimum of two years in residential care and at least 12 months in a managerial role are required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a residential children’s service.
• Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirements.
• Proven leadership and staff development capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Nelson residential home to ensure safe, therapeutic care.
• Oversee regulatory compliance and safeguarding practices.

We’re looking for a Registered Children’s Home Manager to join our dedicated team and lead one of our nurturing, high-quality EBD homes.

Our Nelson home is a solo service, offering a smaller, safe and nurturing place for 6 to 18-year-olds with complex behavioural, emotional, and social needs.

What We Are Looking For

• Level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (essential)
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (highly desirable)
• A minimum 2 years in a position relevant to residential care of children (essential)
• A minimum of 12 months experience in a managerial/senior/team leader/supervisory role within care
• In depth knowledge of relevant legislation, best practice and regulatory expectations, such as Ofsted regulations (essential)
