Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager for our fantastic Children's Home in Formby.

Clumber Lodge is a warm, welcoming, and safe family environment, where our dedicated, experienced, and qualified colleagues provide the best care for vulnerable, traumatised, and disadvantaged children and young people.

The post holder would be responsible for the day-to-day management of a children's residential setting, overseeing the smooth operation of the home to ensure a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for all residents. This role requires balancing the immediate needs of the young people with the long-term goals of achieving positive outcomes. The successful candidate must always prioritize the safety and well-being of the young people living in our home.

Hours of work 39 hours per week; Monday to Friday; with the ability to work flexibly.

What makes you the ideal candidate

  • You are committed, driven, have person-centred values, and want to make a difference in the lives of young people.
  • You have an NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent, and also a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management Children & Young People (the latter could be achieved while working).
  • You have considerable management experience working with young people in a residential setting.
  • You are a dedicated and compassionate leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

What we will offer you

Salary Starting: £53,153; after probation: £55,761; after two years: £59,029.
