The Role

As the EBD Childrens Home Manager, you will play a vital role in the daily running of our children's home in Elmstead Market. You will manage a team of dedicated staff, ensuring the home is a safe, welcoming place where children receive the care, attention, and support they need to grow and overcome challenges.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage the childrens home to ensure the highest standards of care and safeguarding.
2. Support the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each child's needs.
3. Mentor and manage a team of skilled care staff, offering training and guidance to ensure a high standard of care.
4. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and safeguarding standards.
5. Build positive relationships with external agencies, families, and stakeholders to support the wellbeing of children.
6. Be a role model, demonstrating compassion, respect, and leadership in all aspects of the role.

What We're Looking For

1. Previous experience in a managerial role within an EBD childrens home or residential care setting.
2. Strong leadership skills with a genuine desire to lead and support a team in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
3. A solid understanding of safeguarding, regulatory frameworks, and the emotional and psychological needs of children in care.
4. NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or equivalent) is highly desirable, though we will support you in achieving this if not already attained.
5. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
