Registered Children Home Manager (Workington)

This role is based in Workington, offering a salary range of £50,000 to £60,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The position involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the children's home, including leadership, staff support, and decision-making within the policies and procedures for children's homes. The manager will provide leadership across the three disciplines at the home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of the children's home, ensuring social, care, and educational needs of young people are met.
  • Lead and support staff, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external agencies such as local authorities, Ofsted, and Social Services.
  • Ensure health, safety, and wellbeing standards are upheld, including risk assessments and safety protocols.
  • Maintain data protection and confidentiality in compliance with legislation.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability within the team.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in managing or working within children’s residential care settings.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, including health and safety, data protection, and safeguarding.
  • Proficiency in ICT and report writing.
