Job summary

Sense is recruiting a Registered Care Manager for our Kingstanding Residential CQC Service in Birmingham. You will oversee daily operations, lead a dedicated team, and ensure high-quality care aligned with Sense standards.

You will manage rotas, supervise staff including a Deputy Manager and Support Workers, promote compliance, and drive continuous service improvement within a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Essential: prior manager experience in a care setting (community/residential).
• Desirable: knowledge of sensory impairments and disabilities.
• Preferred: full UK manual driving licence.
• Preferred: NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards this (Sense can fund this).
• Enhanced DBS check may be required for role.

About Kingstanding Service:

• 5 bed home, supporting 5 people
• Supports individuals with disabilities with complex needs such as; vision/hearing difficulties, communication challenges and mobility impairments
• Residential service, Good rating by CQC

Requirements for the role:

• Essential- Prior manager experience in a Care setting such as Community/Residential/Supported Living
• Desirable- Knowledge of multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities
• Preferred- A full manual UK driving licence as we have manual company vehicles used to drive and take individuals to appointments, activities outside of the home and trips.
• Preferred- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards this (Sense can fund this)
