Job summary

Handford House in Ipswich is seeking a Registered Manager to lead our 52-bed nursing home. The role offers a salary of £60,000–£62,000 per year plus an annual bonus scheme, with a strong emphasis on delivering person-centred care and meeting CQC standards.

You will oversee occupancy, staffing, audits, and governance, ensuring high standards of care while fostering a warm, welcoming environment for residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in a nursing home setting is required with a proven track record of meeting CQC standards.
• A RGN with valid PIN would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing occupancy and staffing levels across the home, reducing agency staffing where possible.
• Regular updates across departments within the home and effective communication of developments.
• Undertake audits as required in accordance with governance systems.
• Ensure a high standard of care, putting residents at the centre and ensuring they feel safe and comfortable.
